Instructions
In a saucepan, add oat milk, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, cinnamon, maple syrup, and salt.
4 cups unsweetened oat milk, ½ cup chocolate chips, 2 tablespoon cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon powdered cinnamon, 3 tablespoon maple syrup, ¼ teaspoon salt
Cook the mixture on medium-low heat. Stir regularly to prevent burning and ensure the chocolate chips melt evenly for about 5 minutes. Don't let it boil.
Preparing the coconut cream (optional)
Open a chilled can of coconut cream without shaking. Scoop out the solid cream from the top.
400 mls coconut cream
Whip the coconut cream in a bowl using a mixer for 30 seconds. then slowly add in the powdered sugar. Whip until it's fluffy with soft peaks, but be careful not to overdo it, about 1-2 minutes total.
¼ cup powdered sugar
Pour hot chocolate into mugs, top with whipped cream, and garnish as desired.
