Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200C).
Remove your tofu from the package and cut into 1-inch cubes.
1 block firm tofu
Wrap tofu cubes in paper towel to remove excess moisture.
To a medium mixing bowl add in all the sauce ingredients and mix well.
⅓ cup soy sauce, ⅓ cup honey, 3 tablespoon tomato paste, 1 cup orange juice, 2 tablespoon orange zest, 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil, 1 clove garlic, 1 teaspoon ginger, ¼ teaspoon salt
Add the cubed tofu to the marinade and mix gently. Set aside for 15 minutes. Tip: If you have the time, let the tofu marinate for 2 hours in the fridge.
Using tongs remove each tofu cube from the marinade and place into a clean mixing bowl. Reserve the leftover marinade for later.
Add the tapioca flour to the tofu and gently toss until coated.
1 tablespoon tapioca flour
Place each tofu cube onto a lined (or oiled) baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
Add the remaining tofu marinade to a saucepan. Cook over medium high heat until the sauce becomes sticky, about 5 minutes.
When the tofu is finished baking, combine the tofu and orange sesame sauce. Then sprinkle the sesame seeds over top and serve.
